POSITION DESCRIPTION: Technical Manufacturing Skills Instructor
REPORTS TO: Manager, Technical Workforce Skills Instruction
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
MassMEP is seeking a Technical Manufacturing Skills Instructor to deliver course work as part of the Applied Manufacturing Technology Pathway Certification, which was developed by MassMEP to meet the skills gap in Massachusetts manufacturing companies and shape an adult’s life in a new career. This position could be full-time or part-time.
Deliver technical skills training consistent with curriculum developed by MassMEP. The Technical Manufacturing Skills Instructor must have proficiency in related course content listed below, be familiar with computer systems and protocols used in delivering components of the multi dimensional curriculum. Experience with CNC machine tools is desirable.
Standard instructor responsibilities include delivering lectures, preparing materials, providing computer-based instruction including on-line tools utilized as part of the curriculum.
The Technical Manufacturing Skills Instructor must also have the ability to prepare, guide, and develop adult learners within a broad demographic spectrum, who have the goal to acquire skills to pursue a manufacturing career.
Other duties: coordinating training venues and schedules, including various resources, human and physical. Tracking and maintaining training records including individual grades, related performance metrics are also a basic activity related to this position.

- CNC Principles (Mill & Lathe)
- Basic Shop Math
- Blueprint Reading
- Basic GD&T Principles
- G&M Coding
- Master Cam Principles
- Lean Principles
Previous instructional training, either on the job or in the classroom. Basic manufacturing skills. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
