At the conclusion of this training, participants will have developed a portfolio of Industry 4.0 Growth Initiatives for their company.

Developing an Additive Manufacturing Strategy

3 Day Course (24 hours)

Training Overview

The global additive manufacturing market is currently valued around $12 billion and is expected to grow to $50 billion by 2025. Is your company poised to take advantage of new Industry 4.0 capabilities and the explosive growth of this disruptive technology? This course will arm participants with cardinal knowledge of the additive manufacturing landscape, allowing them to form strategies around the technology and identify current opportunities within their own organizations.

Training Description

This training will provide an understanding of the history, current landscape, and future of additive manufacturing. Participants will learn about the most common types of technologies and how they are being used with real life use cases. They will also gain exposure to two types of software being used today and understand the strategies and value around designing for additive. This course also includes an onsite visit to help identify possible applications within their facility.

Driving Rapid and Continuous Value with Industrial IoT Technology

40 hours

Training Description:

Internet of Things (IoT) initiatives drive significant manufacturing improvement by providing real time and historical insight into what’s actually happening on the shop floor. Training will be provided to participants in a software system that helps companies improve equipment efficiencies and also provides real time operational data. The industrial IoT Platform provides an easy to implement solution for connecting to and capturing data from any piece of discrete manufacturing equipment regardless of brand or age. The platform then feeds this data back to the plant and other consumers within the manufacturing lifecycle in ways that drive value and continuous improvement.
Training will focus on:

  • How to use the platform,
  • Understanding your machine utilization, and capacity
  • Downtime analysis
  • Validating job standards, and escalating data to appropriate persons via automation

Training will include:

  • How to get your shop machines reporting data.
  • Baseline machine utilization, and data collection from your machines in real-time until the training is completed
  • Data Analyzation, via dashboards, reports and real-time notifications.
  • Applying the data to inform decision making and actions around continuous improvement initiatives, planning & scheduling, machine maintenance, and staffing.

Factory optimization with Flexible Robotics

16 hours

Training Description:

Participants will be introduced to the process of deploying a collaborative robot in a hands-on environment with real tools that are used in factories across the country. Collaborative robots are a technology that combines the power of traditional automation with revolutionary safety algorithms that allow them to work alongside people on the plant floor. New-age ease of programming alongside safety allows for high flexibility in deployment, meaning your robot doesn’t need to stay bolted to the floor.
