SUMMARY:Business Continuity and Contingency Planning
DESCRIPTION:MassMEP’s “Business Continuity and Contingency Planning” is designed for companies who are interested in the assistance of the development\, implementation\, and maintenance of a process to mitigate risk to business due to unforeseen circumstances (i.e. COVID-19). The course will provide a company’s personnel with a) Training towards Risk Management\, b) Establishing methods of risk mitigation with consideration towards personnel\, customers\, the supply chain\, policies and procedures\, and c) Instructions on establishing and implementing a Business Continuity and Contingency Plan. \nEmployers instituting measures of assessing risk and thorough implementation of emergency preparedness and/or business continuity plan can help prevent disruptions to health\, safety\, and the supply chain by being able to answer: \n\nHow will this affect interested parties?\nWhat operations are effected?\nWho has the authority to communicate?\nWhen are the actions taken?\nWhere operations can continue?\n\nWhen an organization proactively plans to avoid and mitigate any risk associated with the disruption of its activities\, the organization is better prepared to handle unforeseen challenges. Though not strictly pertaining to just coronavirus\, a business continuity/contingency plan determines detailed steps to issue guidance on how to move forward by utilizing existing means of control\, training\, and management of operations when the risk has been established. This will assure interested parties (customers\, vendors\, etc.) that your organization is able to remove obstacles and have secondary methods to ensure product or service is uninterrupted. \nThis 16-hour training course is designed for personnel at all levels of the organization. \nTopics include: \n\nRisk Management Overview\nRisk Assessment\nPlanning of Risk Mitigation Activities\nHuman Resources\nVendor Control\nInternal/External Communication Methods\nWork Environment\nSubmission Requirements\n\nRegister Here

SUMMARY:Leveraging today’s digital and social channels for manufacturers to retain and attract talent
DESCRIPTION:Leveraging today’s digital and social channels for manufacturers to retain and attract talent\nHuman Resource leaders in the manufacturing community are experiencing a major talent gap that is leading to a war for the most sought after profiles. The same way the consumer has become informed\, connected and overall more powerful\, talented profiles well suited for the manufacturing industry are more difficult to attract and to retain than ever before. As a result\, a manufacturer’s ability to attract and retain the best talent has become a critical source of competitive advantage\, but also requires new sets of marketing tools that a traditional HR Manager is often not equipped to deploy. \nGiven this background\, MassMEP has partnered with TribalVision – an outsourced Boston-based marketing firm – to conduct a workshop that will equip manufacturers with the tactics and tools necessary to recruit and retain the workers needed to support and fuel the next stage of company growth. The 60-minute workshop will touch on the following topics: \n\nBuilding out the marketing assets needed to improve your “attractiveness score” with potential recruits\nDeploying digital and social campaigns to target and attract potential candidates\nPutting in place internal marketing initiatives to increase staff retention and morale\nDeveloping a process to generate and post online customer and employee reviews\n\nRegister Here\nThis workshop will be presented by: \nChris Ciunci Founder & Managing Partner\, Tirbal Vision\nAn entrepreneur with over 15 years of marketing experience\,\nChris Ciunci founded TribalVision as a forward-thinking alternative to traditional marketing models. These outmoded models stressed tactics over strategy\, commissions over flat fees\, and a one-size-fits-all approach over treating each client differently. \nToday\, Chris oversees TribalVision’s strategic direction\, guides our distinct client-first philosophy and spearheads our business development efforts. Collaborating closely with our clients\, internal team members and external partners\, his comprehensive marketing strategies revolve around generating new business and strengthening a client’s overall marketing efforts. \nAn active thought leader\, panelist and featured speaker\, Chris continues to share his knowledge and perspectives at varied events throughout the regional marketing community. These events include seminars\, symposiums and workshops sponsored by colleges\, universities\, marketing-industry groups and general business organizations.
