SUMMARY:Did you know these tax incentive options existed for Manufacturers looking to grow?
DESCRIPTION:Tax Incentives for Real Estate Expansion Projects \nManufacturing companies that have expansion plans may benefit from a variety of state and local tax incentives. Whether a company plans to renovate an existing facility\, relocate\, construct a new facility\, create or retain jobs\, there are available resources that can help to reduce the cost associated with a real estate investment. With the surge of increased construction and labor costs\, rising gas prices and interest rates\, these tax incentives more than ever for businesses. \nBy leveraging tax incentives\, companies can save thousands – or even millions – of dollars. However\, timing is essential. Otherwise\, companies could leave substantial cash on the table. \nIn this webinar\, Lynn Tokarczyk\, government tax incentives consultant and president of Business Development Strategies\, Inc.\, will discuss how to identify\, negotiate\, and secure valuable government tax incentives\, including: \n\nState Tax Credits\nState Abandoned Building Tax Deductions\nMunicipal Tax Increment Financing (TIF)\nMunicipal Personal Property Tax Relief\nMunicipal Special Tax Assessment (STA)\n\nRegister Here

SUMMARY:Is There Really A Correlation Between Industry 4.0 & Cybersecurity?
DESCRIPTION:Join us to learn more about why cybersecurity is foundation to Industry 4.0. A brief introduction to i4.0 will be provided. Our panel will discuss possible cybersecurity risks created when deploying IIoT (Industry Internet of Things) and other ICS (Industrial Control System) devices in industrial network environments. The adoption of i4.0 technologies may require the implementation of more sophisticated network architecture and design. That flat network topology of the past may no longer provide adequate protection of your IP (intellectual property) and sensitive information. It may be time to secure and segment your IT business technology from OT (Operational Technology) / ICS (Industrial Control Systems). Or\, you might consider implementing a zero trust security model similar to the one embraced by the DoD earlier this year. \nRegister now to learn more about these and many other cyber hygiene best practices. Please bring your questions to this webinar as time will set aside for a Q&A session as well. \nRegister Here

SUMMARY:Scan To Reverse Engineer with Functional 3D
DESCRIPTION:  \nWhen a part goes out of production or drawings need updating\, 3D scanning can help you speed up your design workflow and meet customer obligations. \nIt’s a challenge that becomes more common by the day: A smaller manufacturer can no longer get critical parts from their supplier\, but drawings don’t exist. How will they continue to meet customer contracts? OR\, drawings have changed over the decades but weren’t documented along the way. How long would it take to reverse engineer that key part and get work flowing again? \n3D scanning technology offers very real benefits to small and medium-sized manufacturers in a variety of areas\, including reverse engineering to solve supply chain challenges or to embrace additive manufacturing. Polaris MEP has teamed up with 3D scanning specialist Christopher Wilczewski for a series of fast-paced webinars about the applications of 3D scanning in manufacturing. \nThis third and final “episode” in our Spring 2022 series focuses on the potential benefits of 3D scanning for reverse engineering/CAD. \nWHAT TO EXPECT\n1) Overview of the role 3D scans play in the “new” reverse engineering\n2) Understand how you can create Surface CAD bodies to be used in traditional CAD applications – even with organically shaped or hand made objects\n3) Hear how 3D scans can allow for modern manufacturing such as Additive / 3D printing or forging\n4) Manufacturer Mini-Success Story \nWHO SHOULD ATTEND\n\nOwners\, Founders\, senior executives of RI manufacturing companies\nEngineering\, Maintenance\, Procurement leads\nOperations\, Production leads\n\nABOUT THE TRAINER\n \nChristopher Wilczewski is the Founder and CEO of Functional 3D\, a 3D scanning service and consulting company based in Providence\, RI. SUMMARY:The Secret to Improving Your Leadership... Really
DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \nWhy do so few leadership improvement efforts produce the results that leaders and business sponsors want? What is in the way? Through decades of working with manufacturers to help them improve their companies and leadership\, we’ve discovered that there are five common obstacles to leadership improvement that must be overcome in order to achieve the desired results. \nWe’ve also developed a process that will help any organization improve their leaders – and not just a little improvement\, but the “who are you and what have you done with my old leader” type of improvement that we’re all after in our development efforts. \nJoin Keith Gammill from the Arkansas Manufacturing Extension Partnership as he discusses: \n1. The five common obstacles to leadership improvement and a methodology to overcome them\n2. The importance of vision and what it does for your leadership\n3. How to apply the Toyota Kata improvement methodology to leadership improvement\n4. Why so many confuse management for leadership and why this matters\n5. The Transformational Leadership Improvement process through the lens of a frontline leader\n6. How to improve your workplace resilience \nThe MEP National Network will host this workforce webinar with Quality Digest. \nFor more information\, email jennifer.rosa@nist.gov. \nRegister Here
