John Killam is a multifaceted, innovative leader with extensive experience in operations management, manufacturing engineering and optimization, quality management, business development, manufacturing operations, R&D, cost analysis and strategic production planning. John has thirty years experience working for fortune 200 manufacturing companies and is certified in the Toyota Production system by a Shingijutsu Sensei.
John is the President/CEO for the Massachusetts Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MassMEP) where he leads a team of professional consultants in the delivery of growth strategies to improve top line while reducing cost. In the past year alone his team has led manufactures to $55 million increase in new sales and add 490 new jobs. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management with a minor in marketing.
Kathie Mahoney is the Marketing and Administration Director for the Massachusetts Manufacturing Extension Parthership. She is responsible for marketing and outreach for the organization and working with the Center's federal stakeholder NIST MEP. In this role she brings an extensive background in marketing and partnership development. Achievements include a monthly enewsletter that has an extensive reach across the country and is viewed as the expert resource in manufacturing. Ms. Mahoney has a bachelors degree in business management from Assumption College and a master's in communication from Clark University.
Marketing and Administrative Director
Joe Griffin is currently the Field Operations Manager for the Massachusetts Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MassMEP).
He previously served as CFO/ COO of Digilab a Life Science Research Tools Company. His entire career has been with manufacturing organizations. He has held leadership positions in Manufacturing Operations, Finance, and Customer Service for Honeywell and Bio-Rad Laboratories.
The strength of a background in both Operations and Finance made him a key team member on many acquisition projects including the integration of these acquisitions with existing manufacturing operations. His experience with multi-national companies included directly managing operations and technical service centers in Europe and Asia. He has developed an extensive network of distribution partners in Europe and Asia.
Experience with privately held emerging technology companies has developed his skill to develop, articulate and implement manufacturing plans for investors interested in providing working capital requirements for growing manufacturing Company.
Field Operations Manager
Paul has over 30 years of experience in manufacturing companies. He utilizes Lean, Six Sigma, S&P and Quality Systems to improve the cost, quality, service and delivery of operations while in plant and general management throughout his career. In addition, he has global sales and marketing success in growing the top line through improved sales operations, product development and new market development.
He also spent over ten years managing P&L's and developing and driving the strategic plan as both GM and President. The companies he has worked in range from Fortune 50 companies to $100 million businesses. His passions are in helping a company realize profitable growth and improving processes.

Mike is a hands on professional with over thirty (30) years of experience in business and municipal management consisting of Sales, Marketing, new business development, manufacturing operations, contract negotiations, financial management and customer relations.
Regional Manager, Southeast Mass.
Ms. Janus has worked as a Regional Manager for MassMEP for last twelve years helping companies achieve profitable growth. Projects, services, and events conducted have focused on “Next Generation Manufacturing (NGM)” strategies of: Operational Excellence, Workforce Strategies, and Innovative Growth Solutions. She also assisted companies in gaining access to all available grant funds to support their training needs and improvement initiatives. Susan is a certified TWI Instructor for Job Instructions (JI), Job Methods (JM), Job Relations (JR), and Job Safety (JS).
Regional Manager, Western Mass.
Mr. Bauer is responsible for the organization, development, and implementation of work force training for the past 7 years for the MassMEP. Mr. Bauer has developed and implemented the first successful comprehensive manufacturing technical skills training program within the state. Organized the first mobile vocation outreach program. Developed and implemented a state-wide pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship program for the machining trades. He was intimately involved in the design, organziaiton, and launch of a successful manufacturing workforce development model, the Manufacturing Advancement Center Workforce Innovation Collaborative - MACWIC and implemented the Manufacturing Skills Academy Network - MSAN.
