Training Grants

Training Grants Available to Massachusetts Businesses

We serve as a workforce training grant resource, guiding you through the Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund application process and program implementation

General Program Training Grants

Businesses can apply for a grant up to $200,000. Employers, employer organizations, labor organizations, training providers, and a consortium of such entities are encouraged to apply for funds to train current and newly hired workers. You may use a training provider of your choice. While we fund the majority of training content, courses that a company is legally mandated to provide (such as OSHA training) are not eligible for funding under this program. Training programs must be completed within two years.

Express Program

Businesses that contribute to the Workforce Training Fund, with 100 employees or fewer, are eligible to apply for an Express Grant. Grant recipients may receive full reimbursement of the cost of training, up to $3,000/person/course, grant funds are limited to $20,000 per company per calendar year.

Certificates of Good Standing are required for companies to participate in these programs.
You can file for a Certificate of Good Standing at Mass Tax Connect.
