Fair Chance 101 Webinar

April 24 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

MassMEP is seeking to support Massachusetts manufacturers in adopting best practices in fair chance employment. MassMEP has recently developed a curriculum to train people in MA jails and prisons on manufacturing fundamentals and wants to ensure that training participants have access to quality manufacturing jobs post-completion. MassMEP has identified that MA manufacturers need support to both better understand the business case for fair chance employment and develop more intention and structure in their fair chance practices.

Jobs For the Future’s (JFF) Employer Initiatives team, situated within the organization’s Center for Justice & Economic Advancement, has supported more than 100 companies on their fair chance employment journeys. Clients have included some of the country’s largest companies, including GM, Keurig Dr. Pepper, Kroger, GAP, and Vistra, as well as dozens of small and mid-sized businesses. With decades of collective experience in fair chance employment practices, HR, and change management, our team of experts is ideally positioned to educate and support Massachusetts manufacturers in developing best-in-class fair chance employment programs.

This one-hour virtual workshop covering the business case for fair chance employment and the fundamentals of adopting fair chance practices. In this session a poll will be conducted to qualify Manufacturers for the next steps. Qualified manufacturers will then be moved forward into the next four Learning Journey Workshops.
