Ryan Pizzano – MassMEP Employee Highlights
Ryan Pizzano is a Junior Lightning Programmer for MassMEP. If you are wondering what a Lightning Programmer does, Ryan describes it in respect to his work specifically at MassMEP. He works alongside our Salesforce Programmer and in support of our finance, human resources and leadership team contributing to aspects of the analysis, design, development, and enhancement of current and future Salesforce functionality and developing using Lightning components. Ryan indicates that MassMEP is transitioning from Salesforce Classic to Lightning. For example, he is currently working on a Time Entry chart that indicates who has hours submitted and who has hours not submitted.
Ryan has been with MassMEP since March. He graduated from college in December of 2019 with a degree in Computer Science and started job hunting. Then the pandemic hit and he had been on his job hunt since then. “It was my good fortune to find MassMEP, which I discovered through LinkedIn. I applied, interviewed, and was subsequently hired.” Ryan’s choice of computer science degree may have stemmed from his enthusiasm for video games, but he has also genuinely been interested in computers and programming as well. His favorite part of the job? He says, “I really enjoy getting to learn and work with different tools such as making pages and all the fun background details. It is great to be putting into practice much of what I learned while in college.”
Ryan continues, “Outside of work there are a couple ways that I like spending my time. When I was a kid I wanted to be a chef, so I enjoy cooking and trying new recipes. I just recently made a nice 3 cheese alfredo sauce. And I also have fun playing video games.”
How well do you know Ryan? Two of these statements are true and one is not. Can you guess which one?
1) I drive a Kia.
2) I am a fan of coffee.
3) I have a solid recipe for meatballs.
