Grant Funding

We serve as a workforce grant funding resource, guiding you through the Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund application process and program implementation.

Certificates of Good Standing are required for companies to participate in these programs.
You can file for a Certificate of Good Standing at Mass Tax Connect.

General Program Grant Funding

Businesses can apply for a grant up to $200,000. Employers, employer organizations, labor organizations, training providers, and a consortium of such entities are encouraged to apply for funds to train current and newly hired workers. You may use a training provider of your choice. While the majority of training content is funded, courses that a company is legally mandated to provide (such as OSHA training) are not eligible for funding under this program. Training programs must be completed within two years.

Express Program

Businesses that contribute to the Workforce Training Fund, with 100 employees or fewer, are eligible to apply for an Express Grant. Grant recipients may receive full reimbursement of the cost of training, up to $3,000/person/course, grant funds are limited to $20,000 per company per calendar year.

Consortium Grants

An applied learning consortium consists of a small number of companies with common needs who work together to design and deploy a variety of workforce trainings and workshops. Applied learning program options can vary, and the offerings of these programs is pooled from the needs of the Manufacturing Community today. Participants cite networking, best practices, collaboration and much more as some of the benefits of participating in consortium grants.
